Ingredients
- 10 oz bag coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cups Carrots shredded
- ½ onion thinley sliced
- 16 oz Ground turkey
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 TBSP Ginger root, grated
- 1/4 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds optional, for garnish
- 3 green onions, green parts only thinly sliced, optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown turkey in a large skillet over medium heat. Once cooked, remove meat from pan, drain excess fat.
- Meanwhile, mix the sauce. Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, ginger, garlic and chili garlic sauce. Set aside.
- Return pan to heat, add oil. Once oil is hot, add the onion and saute for about 5 minutes, until softening.
- Add the coleslaw mix and carrots to the pan. Carefully stir to combine with the onion. Continue to cook, stirring often, until soft and wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the meat back to the pan, pour in sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring until everything is well combined.
